Post-doctoral position at Laboratoire d’Astrophysique de Marseille (LAM)

Announcement for the opening of an international call to hire a postdoc position to work on the preparation of the PLATO Input Catalog (PIC) to be used for the selection of PLATO targets and in support to the future light curves analysis.

The Laboratoire d’Astrophysique de Marseille (LAM), in France, opens an international call to hire a postdoctoral researcher, under a fixed-term contract, whose foreseen activities are centered on the preparation and supply of high-precision photometric data catalogs to the PLATO Input Catalog.

Duration of contract: 24 months (with possible 1-year extension)
Salary: €2605.99 per month

The School of Physics & Astronomy is seeking a capable and active Research Fellow to work on the discovery and characterisation of extra-solar planets.
The successful applicant will work with the PLATO team at LAM within the Planetary System group, mainly with Pr. M. Deleuil, and Dr. A. Santerne. She/he will also collaborate with the PLATO Science Management team, and especially the team in Padova in charge of the PIC.
