The Osservatorio Astrofisico di Catania, part of the Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica (INAF), invites applications for a Post Doctoral fellowship on the subject “Methods for stellar rotation and magnetic activity measurements in preparation for the ESA space mission PLATO” funded by “PLATO Fasi B/C” project.

Job Tasks
- Specification, development, and testing of the algorithms for the analysis of PLATO light curves for the purposes of stellar rotation measurements and activity studies;
- Development and documentation of computer codes for the application of the above algorithms.
Profile’s requirements
- Master degree either in Physics, Astronomy or Astrophysics followed by three years scientific experience
OR
- PhD in Physics, Astronomy, or Astrophysics
