The 5th PLATO-France workshop will explore the scientific synergies between PLATO and ARIEL missions. The aim is to identify the mutual contributions of these missions and how they can complement each other.
On the one hand, the most obvious aspect is the provision of potential targets, but others may be of interest, such as the determination of ephemeris and precise stellar/planetary parameters or the level of stellar activity. On the other hand, accurate stellar ages coupled with a characterization of planetary atmospheres can enhance our understanding of planetary formation mechanisms.
