Dr. Anna Di Giorgio is a senior researcher at the Italian Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica with more than 20 years of experience in managing the design and implementation of control software for space instrumentation.
A second field of interest is the data analysis of the scientific astronomical data, focusing on the image and maps processing.
She has been the coordinator of the Italian scientific and technical activities for the ESA Herschel mission and Project Manager of the European FP7 project VIALACTEA, dedicated to the exploitation of the galactic plane survey data obtained with the Herschel Observatory.
She is presently the coordinator of the Italian activities for the VIS instrument onboard the ESA Euclid mission, and has the responsibility of the SW Product Assurance within the Italian activities for the PLATO mission.
