He is an expert in observational astrophysics with a large focus on binary/multiple stars and asteroseismology, combining different observational techniques to measure fundamental stellar properties, challenging existing theories of stellar structure and evolution. He is leader of the TESS Asteroseismic Science Consortium Coordinated Activities of Stellar Variability Classification and Ground-based follow-up observations and member of the TESS Asteroseismic Science Consortium Steering Committee. He is manager of the PLATO complementary science and supporting the payload team with scientific verification and testing of software, and member of the Management and Executive Committees of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS)-V; Survey Scientist of the Milky Way Mapper programme.
