
The IAC (Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias, Tenerife) invites applications for a postdoctoral position to work within the project “Asteroseismology and Exoplanet science with PLATO and preparations for HAYDN at IAC”, with an expected focus on circumbinary planets and/or ground-based photometric follow-up.

Job Tasks
The candidate will work on the project linked to the line of research “Helio and astero-seismology and exoplanets search” and pursue research in the following fields:
- Detection and analysis of extrasolar planet systems, especially around binary stars;
- Analysis and interpretation of photometry from ground and space-based facilities;
- Development of analysis-tools for ground-based photometry;
- The availability to participate in outreach activities related to PLATO is appreciated.
Profile’s requirements
- excellent research record, commensurate with the duration of their research career.
- Ph.D. degree in Astrophysics or Physics by the application deadline
Particular attention will be given to applicants with experience in the field of extrasolar planets and/or binary stars, with emphasis on the analysis of photometric data and planet system dynamics, and the corresponding development of tools.
