The PLATO SWT had the opportunity to visit the ESA ESTEC facility during a test campaign of the Satellite Structural Model. The visit was payed on June 9th 2023, during the SWT Meeting #18. The team could attend, looking at the test from a window, to the vibration test during which the satellite was tested against oscillations in the up-down direction, mounted on the QUAD shaker. After the test conclusion, the team could access the internal part of the facility for a close encounter with the Satellite Structural Model.
